Layering our work. by wdavey Posted on January 17, 2017 Dreaming of Mount Stewart As we continued working in class we could see how we could use all our work together. This was really good fun as it started to look really good. (Sophie YR10) Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

David Hockney at the ‘Mac’ by wdavey Posted on January 17, 2017 Does anyone think that David Hockney visited Scrabo Tower in Newtownards?/ We enjoyed looking at his work even though we had work to do!!! It was very busy so a little difficult for us to get our drawing boards out and sketch his work. The colours were amazing and we nearly all now understand what Julie was talking about. ‘It was the best day ever.’ Alexander YR9 Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

In October 2016 we visited the Mac in Belfast with the YR9’s to see the work of Keith Wilson and David Hockney. Mrs Davey gave us a task in the first Gallery…’How many objects were used and why?’ Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment

And there is more… both Year 9 and Year 10 were inspired with the Autumn colours, the task and with Julie Forrester as a guide a wealth of material on our return to school …I forgot the large branch we have in the art room. by wdavey Posted on October 25, 2016 Enjoying the task with Julie guiding Alex is very busy ‘being creative’.
