What a busy day! Everyone worked so hard. The quiet, thoughtful preparations of last week paid off this week. Everyone had done research. Individually each person selected something from their research that they wanted to add into the group map. As the map groups listened, each person shared their ideas and then everyone worked together to figure out the best medium to use and what size the image needed to be. Then there was a lot of figuring out to be done -some test drawings and resizing -when to use paint/ pen/ cut-outs. Each group recorded their ideas in writing and through photography. At the end I asked the class what did all the thinking and planning add to the process. Some of them felt that it had helped them to organise their activities and work well as a team.
