After all these months, here I am again, waiting, getting into the zone, ready to start another phase of virtually there. Half of the class have worked with me previously and the other half are totally new to me and the project. We started by getting used to eachother and the whiteboard and experimenting with new ways for the children to use the controls. This included a group portrait drawn on the whiteboard. Guess who?

The children also used the instant camera to grab some photos of me and we talked about which one they would keep. They all chose the funny face one. I’m not so sure about that. In order to practice using the controls, everyone came up to take photos of eachother and

 label them with their names. This developed into a discussion about photography and portraiture and they experimented with the camera in small groups taking portraits. They didn’t have time to show me all of the work but there was great excitement on all sides and they promised to share work with me via the journal.
