Dreaming of Mount StewartAs we continued working in class we could see how we could use all our work together. This was really good fun as it started to look really good. (Sophie YR10)
We started to LAYER OUR work using the photos, tracing paper and feltip pen. David Hockney tried this with his I-pad too. This is how Julie used one of our images..Amazing
Does anyone think that David Hockney visited Scrabo Tower in Newtownards?/
We enjoyed looking at his work even though we had work to do!!! It was very busy so a little difficult for us to get our drawing boards out and sketch his work. The colours were amazing and we nearly all now understand what Julie was talking about. ‘It was the best day ever.’ Alexander YR9
I think a YR9 has worked out the answer.. no hints were given!
In October 2016 we visited the Mac in Belfast with the YR9’s to see the work of Keith Wilson and David Hockney. Mrs Davey gave us a task in the first Gallery…’How many objects were used and why?’
YR10 on their first visit in September to the National Trust gem of Mount Stewart. What an amazing morning wandering in the Autumn colours …looking..finding images…collecting textures and getting inspired..oh and the fresh air.
