Understandably some of our 5 and 6 year olds found it difficult to grasp some of the concepts last week around seeing a landscape made up of layers.

It would have been easy to move on the this week and steer away from this challenge. However, Miss White and I were both truly excited about the work and convinced that it was within their grasp if we revisited the idea again, breaking it down into more manageable steps.

This is where there is such merit to long term working relationships – I have had the good fortune of working with Miss White over the last 10 years. We respect each other in our differing professional roles and do rely on each others judgement.
