And I could have cried ! – Week 4, P5

One of the aspects of this virtual collaboration which I really enjoy is that the pupils and I can take on an identical activity, at the same time, but in two different physical places. I am usually in the studio or outside the house, whilst they are in the classroom or school grounds. We often undertake the type of activity where we do not know fully, or sometimes even at all, where we will end up and this is truly exciting. It ensures that I too engage in the process of uncovering the new. After, we get back together and exchange our discoveries via the webcam video and stills and conversation.
So, P5 and I went about our dismantling. And in the studio, when the segment of the mandarin orange yielded it’s hundreds of tiny golden juice sacks I simply could not wait to show them. In particular I wanted to stick up some instant webcam stills, really big on their class whiteboard.
But, technical difficulties left me and my discoveries well and truly trapped within in the studio – I could have cried P5!
So, it’s out with that laptop and back with the old PC for next session!
