Repeating the same task

 

On the 20th November, P5 and I began work on a pair of drawings each, in the classroom and studio respectively. These have been ongoing since. We used the studio “Stones with Belly Buttons” as our basis. This however was almost irrelevant but what was important was that we made up a set rules or instructions together, as to how these drawings should be carried out, to which we both had to adhere precisely. In effect then, we were both carrying out exactly the same task – repeating the same activity.

Over the 6 months we made ongoing changes to the rules, with both parties carrying out any new instructions.

We were interested in just how our drawings would differ and how they would be similar, given that we were repeating, as far as we understood it, the same activity.
