Historical society talk

Last Friday night some of the children from the Dwell project did a talk for the Sandholes Historical Society. In a packed hall, they talked about their artwork and the stories associated with their research. Many of the audience commented that they would never have been able to give that kind of talk at that age. I also talked about the ideas and research behind my work No Place Like Home and how that fed into the project. For me it was really special that the children had the chance to talk about the research behind the project in more detail. Many interesting stories were exchanged. It was a lovely evening and we were all made very welcome. Thanks to Jake A, Luke, Jake M, Lydia, Katie, Morgane, Ryan, Samuel, Adam, Kirsty, Mrs Wilson, Mr Harrison, the parents and everyone from the Historical Society for their hospitality and enthusiasm.
