Day 6 Seeing-Up, down, inside and through

The children are beginning to look up from the ground and so it was decided to make use of an interesting feature of our school landscape….the hedge at the side of the playground.

The hedge was an extremely interesting subject matter.  The children looked all around, above, below and through.

Observational skills are improving. Using the seeing frame is really encouraging everyone to look more closely.  It was very exciting to see what interesting sights were inside the hedge.

The children had to find something in the hedge that interested them.

Lots of exciting work was carried out back in the classroom, memory drawings, showing Ann the photos of interesting parts of the hedge and creating a hedge map.  It was so exciting to hear about what they discovered.
