To start our project, Ann came to our school to meet us.  Ann had been working with another class in the school and we were very excited it was now our turn!!!!

Virtual Week 1

We looked at different sources of light – computer screens, windows, projector and electric lights.  We talked about what objects light goes through.

We hadn’t realised that light could travel through so many different objects in our classroom.  With Ann we talked about early photography and in particular portrait pictures – so our first task was to re-create our own.

Firstly we took a profile photograph so we could draw around it.  We traced it onto translucent paper.  On the back of our paper we put chalk so we could transfer our drawing onto the black paper. Then we cut out our portrait and some of us placed them on red paper for extra effect.

We are so glad we have our project started and we hope you will enjoy looking at our work – Mrs Wilson’s P4/5
