Hurricane in the classroom

Week 3 and we started the session with a discussion about powerful storms and destruction. Myself and the children began by making drawings of the storm and objects that get destroyed by the wind, rain, thunder and lightening. Once the drawings were made they were hung from line and fans were turned on to create the effect of wind. In my studio the fans created a power surge and blew a fuse, so I was plunged into darkness towards the end of the session, it was almost like a storm black-out. To assist the fans the children also began blowing the lines of drawings in the classroom.
